Description

SA Metal Group is South Africa’s oldest and largest metal recycling company, and proudly turns 100 years old in 2019. The Group purchases and processes all forms of ferrous metals (steel and others) and non-ferrous metals (aluminium, copper and others) from industrial enterprises, scrap metal dealers and private individuals. Our processing facilities and offices are located in and around Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

We have two positions available in the Finance Department.

    • Senior Finance Administrator
    • Senior Payments Administrator
  • Senior Finance Administrator –

Job description:

    • NB NB Ability to multi-task and manage demanding workload in a highly pressurised environment. Do not apply if not able to work under a large amount of pressure.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Administration of debtors customers’ accounts
    • Credit Control
    • Debtors age analysis
    • Handling COD customers
    • Administration of and managing of credit limits and credit applications
    • Cashbook processing and reconciliation
    • Creditors reconciliation

Qualifying experience:

    • Debtors and Creditors experience
    • Tertiary qualification in finance would be an advantage
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience
    • Knowledge of MS Office, Excel at advanced level
    • ACCPAC experience highly preferable
    • Knowledge of accounting practices, principles and reporting of financial data

    • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Senior Payments Administrator –

Job description:

    • Make sure all payments to suppliers of scrap are processed accurately and timeously.

Qualifying experience:

    • A minimum Grade 12 certificate
    • 2 years relevant experience
    • Computer literate – MS Office, internet and e-mail
    • Ability to work neatly and clearly when capturing data and filing electronically
    • Ability to process data quickly and accurately
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask
    • Performing complex mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy.
