Purpose of the job: Job requirements:

To ensure that the technical QA/QC fields of expertise in Access, Insulation and Protective Coating are executed according to the specifications and agreed scope of work: Management of Service Providers. Verification of quality and quantity of service delivered. Provide advice and guidance to Business Partners in areas of technical fields. Execution of shutdown and maintenance process. Building and maintaining stakeholder relationships. Manage Service Providers according to contract.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

In addition to a pre-employment medical examination this position may require a physical fitness assessment as part of the normal selection criteria

Qualifications

Qualified artisan NQF 4 with Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science OR N3 with Mathematics, Science and 1 language PLUS relevant Trade qualification OR S4 Engineering Qualification

Experience

Experience as QA/QC in the fields of expertise in Access, Insulation and Protective Coating will be an added advantage

Operational, Financial and Technical Results

Delivery Targets (Volumes, tons (sizes), products, service)

  • Verifying the accuracy of calculations.
  • Evaluating the work of service provider in progress and on completion
  • Verifying of documents i.e. Scoping, Job Cost Estimate, Purchase Order, Quality and Quantity Control
  • Verify correct recording on reports, documents, etc.
  • On site verification of work performed by service provider
  • Verify work completion as per set standard (contract)
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules

Quality results (agreed standards/compliance)

  • Ensuring quality and quantity of all services delivered
  • Obtain/provide feedback to/from stakeholders
  • Identify, Assess and Manage substandard work
  • Assist in resolving Non-Conformance Reports

Cost awareness and control

  • Validating cost or time estimates for future activity
  • Execute work within Purchase Order parameters

  • Maintaining a physical presence to monitor work outcomes
  • Verify all work completed by Service Provider
