Purpose of the Job
Provide support to ensure that all on-site personnel work in a safe manner and comply with company and regulatory/legislative requirements for Occupational Health and Safety by performing on-site safety watch, inspecting confined space entry watch and spark/fire watch. What you’ll have done before:

Baseline:

  • A Grade 12 / Matric qualification
  • SAMTRAC qualification preferred
  • At least one-year safety experience
  • First Aid Level 1 / Confined Space / Basic Fire
  • Able to conduct safety talks and group discussions.
  • Experience working with stakeholder and strong ability to interact with people.

Advantageous:

  • Post-graduate qualification in Safety Management (Nation Diploma / NDSMN)
  • Able to conduct incident investigation, RCAT trained
  • Petrochemical experienceExciting Challenges you might face in the role
  • Applies knowledge of the OHSAct 85 of 1993 to advance the organisation’s objectives and goals and other Legal appointment requirements
  • Operate effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear
