Recruitment Consultant


Main Purpose of Position:

Manage the full recruitment function for Altron Bytes People Solutions in the Business Process Outsource business.

Main Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Taking a proactive approach to the full recruitment process
  • Ensuring compliance to all legislative requirements related to recruitment i.e EE targets
  • Be involved in the implementation of recruitment processes and systems
  • Analyse the cost per hire, time to hire and recommends changes and improvements
  • Create a graduate and learnership recruitment programme
  • Keeps the documentation of the recruitment process up to date
  • Provide a vital link between the organisation and candidates
  • Headhunting – identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work
  • Building up a database of suitable candidates
  • Creating talent pool of readily available resources for short term projects
  • Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates
  • Posting and advertising positions
  • Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before presenting to hiring manager
  • Conduct all required security clearance checks
  • Track
    applicant flow, maintain pipeline of qualified candidates for future
    consideration, help collect and analyse recruitment data
  • Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question
  • Ensuring that all relevant documentation is obtained from candidates prior to commencement of employment
  • Establish a strong rapport with hiring managers to understand their strategic staffing needs and fill vacancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure clear mutual understanding of staffing priorities and practical constraints
  • Guide the hiring managers through the recruitment process where needed.
  • Manage communications between applicants, hiring managers and others to keep all parties apprised of the status of each search
  • Present fully-screened qualified candidates to hiring managers in a timely manner and coordinate interviews
  • Manage candidate interview results and selection decision with hiring manager
  • Provide candidates feedback on interview results as appropriate

Job Requirements:

Required Experience

  • 3 – 5 years in full cycle recruitment (Inhouse or Agency)
  • Experience in searching & headhunting for candidates
  • Knowledge of human resource and employment laws
  • Bulk recruitment experience highly advantageous

Required Qualifications

  • Matric or equivalent
  • Degree or relevant Recruitment Diploma
  • APSO certification (Nice to have)
