ob Description Join Parmalat at our Bonnievale Plant as a Creditors Clerk with the main responsibilities for 3 way matching, processing of invoices, creditor reconciliations and generating of dump files. This exciting career opportunity at Parmalat SA will enable you to play your part in ensuring that the company achieves its challenging objectives during the next phase of its growth in South Africa Duties & Responsibilities • Three-way matching and processing of invoices.

  • Reconciling vendor accounts and loading payments.
  • Assistance with cash forecasts, monthly accruals and stock counts.
  • Ensure the tax invoices comply with the VAT act.
  • Process Creditors Invoices through the capturing of data on BPCS.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure that orders and receiver tickets are captured on time to enable timely processing of invoices.
  • Validate and reconcile outstanding purchase orders and un-invoiced receipts between sub system and general ledger for commodities.
  • Prepare EFT payments on the BPCS system on time to receive settlement discount.
  • Complete documentation and arrange for new vendors to be created on the system and maintaining vendor terms.
  • Reporting: Assist with preparation of monthly cash flow projections.
  • Stock takes: count stock periodically when required, reconcile stock monthly count sheets.
  • Compile accruals for receipts after sub system month end closure.
  • General administration functions and ad hoc tasks as required by Supervisor.
  • Petty cash relief in absence of Assistant Accountant.
  • Metro Filing must be done 100% and the 20 Key system must be maintained. Required Skills • Grade 12 or equivalent with maths or accounting
  • Accounting/Admin Tertiary qualification or studying towards one is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Creditor’s experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent computer skills especially MS Word and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of processing creditor’s transactions on an integrated computer system.
  • Good Communication and Report writing skills, Presentation and Spread sheet skills using Microsoft Office.
