An opportunity has become available for a Fitter to join the Snackworks team at our Rosslyn (Pretoria North) Factory. The role will report directly to the Foreman and be responsible for ensuring planned and preventative maintenance will be carried out, as well as breakdown repair work on plant equipment. Experience of welding and cutting equipment essential and experience working with boilers and compressors would be highly advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out breakdown repair work on all plant and equipment Carry out planned and preventative maintenance schedules as required on process and services equipment Perform planned shutdown work on plant and ancillary equipment Complete root cause and failure analysis on prolonged and repeated breakdowns Provide expert advice and problem-solving technique to fellow workers Record all maintenance data (downtime, spares, and improvement recommendations) on Shopware CMMS Continuously adhere to and engage in safe working practices Adhere to the company safety policy

A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Fitter gained in the FMCG/Manufacturing environment FMCG Plant Maintenance experience Welding and cutting experience required
Minimum Qualifications Required
Trade tested as a Fitter at an Accredited Training Facility N4 Fitter- Mechanical Trade Theory in Mechanical Engineering
Must be computer literate and proficient with Windows and Office software incl. Word, and Excel Excellent Fault Finding Abilities Knowledge of CMMS system or similar (SAP, Pragma, etc.) QMS, HACCP and GMP knowledge advantageous Machining knowledge Knowledge of boilers and compressors advantageous
