What will you do?

 

This is a specialist role within Sanlam Connect Enterprise: Managed Outsourced Business that provides financial analysis/MIS, management reporting, and expense management. Additionally, support to the BlueStar businesses that reside therein, as well as other Enterprise models, i.e. Sanlam Core Solutions, Aligned Financial Planning.

What will make you successful in this role?

 

Key focus areas of this role include:

  • Undertake MIS analysis and financial interpretation
  • Undertake management reporting
  • Undertake budget/expense management processing
  • Build and maintain stakeholder and client relationships
  • Project Management and ad-hoc back office support

 

 

Qualification and experience

  • Qualification in accounting/book keeping (diploma/degree), with strong Maths focus – NHC Accountancy
  • 3-5 years’ experience, preferably within a financial distribution business

 

 

Knowledge and skills

IT:

  • MS: Office (Excel Advanced, Word, PP, Outlook)
  • SharePoint

  • ESSBASE – Minimal
  • MIS

 

Business/management:

  • Financial Services industry knowledge (BASIC)
  • Distribution structures/different businesses & entities
  • Compliance legislation (financial services related)
  • Financial analysis and statistics/database analysis

  • Remuneration models (basic)
  • Income/expense levers (VNB) – Basic knowledge
  • Build and maintain calculators, models and tools (financial)
