My client, based in the northern suburbs of Pretoria and operating in the retail industry is looking for a Payroll Manager responsible to provide an efficient management, data processing and administration service to the payroll department in order to ensure accurate payroll records of employees as well as to contribute to the timeous an accurate payment of salaries or wages to staff in line with

Requirements:

Grade 12
Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Finance/ Payroll
Computer literate( MS Office and Advanced Excel)
Minimum 10 years payroll experience
People 300 Knowledge Essential
Retail and multi store experience essential
Hourly paid employee experience essential
Working knowledge of Employee Self Service (ESS)
Accounting exposure
Responsibilities:

Responsible to manage the full payroll function of the organisation weekly, monthly and annually
Advise and guide staff on company policies relating to payroll/payments when necessary
Collaborate with Operations teams and HR to ensure that staff is accurately paid
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of payroll staff
Performance manage and develop payroll staff
Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements
Process payroll checks for executive staff
Review and improve payroll policies and procedures
Verify all overtime hours with the Operations department
Perform a first review of payroll prior submitting to management for review
Providing information for forecasting and budgeting purposes
Maintaining the Integrity of Equity Reports – and assist with Statistical Equity Reporting
Assisting with the implementation of Employee Self Service Programme (ESS)
Managing all payroll reports, time sheets, individual attendance and production records, and other related documentation, ensuring all data is updated within the Employee Self Service (ESS) system in a timely manner
