Duties & Responsibilities
My client a logistics & distribution service provider is looking for a field-based Sales Representative to join their team in Durban. This is a close nit regional team who work together to ensure customers are well looked after. Customer service is key and one of the key drivers behind their client retention success. Excellent uncapped commission scheme on offer.
Key duties include:
- Sales of logistics & distribution services across the Durban/ KZN region
- Focus on developing new business (cold calling) to drive revenue growth across the Durban/ KZN region
- Delivering client presentations, preparing RFQ, working on tender documents / quotes for new business
- Developing strong relationships with new customers (new business)
- Managing the new sales relationships once client is onboarded (account management)
- Keeping abreast on market trends and competitor activity within your region
- Prepare and maintain records of sales leads and new business prospect meetings
- Develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns to drive new business / account management in your area.
- Working closely with the operations team to ensure services are delivered as agreed
Essentials for this role
- Completed Matric with relevant tertiary qualification
- Own vehicle (petrol will be covered)
- Able to demonstrate the ability to bring on new business
- Track record of working in a field-based sales role selling logistics & distribution (3 years min)
- In-depth understanding of logistics & distribution services (3 years min)
