The Momentum Financial Planning (MFP) Practice in Centurion is responsible for face-to-face financial planning within the South African context and within the legislative and regulatory environment. Through establishing long-term relationships, our Planners provide clients across different market segments (middle-income, affluent, professional market and business) with holistic financial planning, by providing a comprehensive range of appropriate and competitive solutions. These include traditional life insurance, risk and savings products, investment, retirement, health and fiduciary services as well as short term insurance. Through our Financial Wellness philosophy, we intend to create wealth for our clients by delivering an excellent client experience through continuous engagement on their financial needs, in a tangible and practical way

Financial planners play an important role in helping people achieve their financial goals. The financial planner is an accessible, trusted, caring, and knowledgeable financial services professional whom consumers can talk to face-to-face about their goals, dreams and aspirations. Essentially, financial advisers help people with almost anything related to their personal finances, which means they help people on their financial wellness journeys.

Our clients need your financial know-how and passion. Through providing face-to-face advice, you will partner them to achieve lifetime financial wellness. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse population groups in Cape Town and address a full spectrum of financial needs, including budgeting, debt reduction, life, short-term and health insurance, saving and investing, education planning and retirement planning.

You will work to attain new clients on a day-to-day basis through prospecting, and meeting with people to complete their financial needs analysis. You will implement your financial advice through the sale of life insurance, short-term insurance, health insurance, investment, retirement and savings products and solutions offered by Momentum. A client-focused, holistic approach to selling will build your credibility and help you gain the trust of the people you serve, and provide them with appropriate advice that aligns with their circumstances. You will provide on-going financial advice to your clients.

The Incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct assistance in knowledge and skills and in setting financial wellness and related goals through face-to-face interactions.
  • Educating clients in areas such as budgeting, credit and debt management, insurance, saving and investing, education planning, retirement planning and estate planning.
  • Providing face-to-face advice effectively to motivate clients financial wellness. Creating personalized financial plans for clients derived from detailed analysis of their current income, expenses, insurance coverage, financial objectives, risk tolerance, and other information needed to develop a financial plan and review financial plans regularly. Providing appropriate financial solutions based on clients financial plans.
  • Maintaining security and confidentiality of company, and client data. Building sustainable long term relationships with clients, by assisting them in achieving their financial goals.
  • Handling client complaints and resolve problems

Desired Experience & Qualification

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Diploma/Degree
  • At least 3- 5 career related experience
  • 2 – 5 years Financial Services Consulting
  • 2 – 5 years Investment, Insurance and Assurance
  • Knowledge of insurance, investment, risk or health management related products
  • Recognized diploma/degree (sales, marketing or related field) will be an advantage
  • A Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and a Certified Financial Planner Designation would be highly advantageous


  • FAIS Accreditation (Regulatory Examination RE 5)
  • NQF 5 (120 Credits)
  • Financial Advisor experience with a proven track record in successfully dealing with clients and or franchises
  • A valid driver’s license with own transport
  • A willingness to travel
  • Own laptop
  • No adverse listings in accordance with FSB fit and proper regulations
