The ideal candidate for this role would be responsible for designing and delivering strategic Learning and development services to the business, based on local and international research adapted to meet organizational requirements. To partner with key stakeholders to build a competent workforce and create a positive climate for employees, thereby making the company an Employer of Choice (EOC) and assisting building and maintaining a high-performance organization.

Develop a Learning Strategy which aligns with business strategic intent.
Ensure sound Learning Solution Frameworks are in place which enable optimal results
Establish credible relationships by partnering with relevant stakeholders to proactively identify strategic business needs
Inspire and influence decisions and methodologies for optimal outcomes
Assess learning and development practices, processes and policies to ensure alignment with business needs, whilst ensuring the appropriate learning solution is developed and delivered.
Conduct Skills Audits and develop a learning plan with robust solutions to critical needs
Serve as a catalyst of change by remaining abreast of relevant local and global best practice trends to enhance learning & development solutions
Formulate and communicate L&D policies and practices for the Group in line with legislative framework.
Participate in developing Group HR strategic plans; continuously monitor implementation to ensure alignment with the business unit’s vision and strategic objectives.
Manage & Compile WSP and ATR plans in alignment with BBB-EE requirements
Manage and implement Design, Development and Assessment processes for L&D across the group
Ensure the implementation of relevant strategic processes, procedures and systems to deliver optimum results
Analyse data & trends, to compile and report on Learning Metrics.
Keep abreast of developing initiatives within the group, mitigate risk and provide solutions
Actively network with internal and external stakeholders to enhance business solutions
Compile and manage the L&D Budget whilst ensuring operating cost efficiencies are in place; Approve expenditure relating to Learning and Development against set budgets
Manage external suppliers/ vendors to achieve objectives, cost and timelines
Project Manage L&D initiatives
Identify technology needs to enhance and reinforce relevant strategic HR processes.
Manage L&D system development to enhance user experience and business integration
Encourage, implement and reinforce the Group’s Values and Leadership principles in alignment with the group’s competency framework
Manage the performance of self and all direct reports outputs/Key Performance Areas and execute on individual development plans
Act as a coach and mentor and influence a learning culture
