Africa: Rapidol, a strong player in hair color brands was acquired in September 2006 gave an opportunity to enhance its global presence through the Modern Trade Network. Kinky, leading player in dry hair was acquired in April 2008. Tura, one of Nigeria’s leading beauty companies was acquired in June 2010. In June 2011, GCPL acquired a majority stake in pan-African leading hair care company ‘Darling Group Holdings’ that operates in 14 countries across sub-Saharan Africa. Frika Hair was acquired in March 2015, which enjoys premium positioning in the South African hair market since 1998.

Asia: In May 2010, we acquired an Indonesia-based Megasari group operating in a range of household products. GGME established in Sharjah ensures distribution in the Middle East. We also have operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Europe: Keyline Brands (now Godrej UK) was acquired by GCPL in October 2005 operating in the toiletries and personal care sector.

South America: Argentina based Issue Group and Argenocs in May and June 2010 (now integrated as Godrej Argentina), has helped GCPL make significant inroads into the hair colors markets of Latin America. In 2012, GCPL acquired 60% stake in Cosmetica Nacional, a market leading hair colors and Cosmetics Company in Chile.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Receiving and checking all stock returned by sales reps/transporters
  • Capturing of all stock returns/shortages and claims received.
  • Crediting of any invoice request by management with valid reason (Ensure this is done on paper trail eg:email)
  • Transferring of good stock to warehouse on the system
  • Ensuring that pricing is in accordance with claim/return received
  • Escalation & follow up on any pricing or discount discrepancies on the created credit
  • Reviews  Return orders for accuracy and completion
  • Invoice and closing of all returns created
  • Handles customer complaints in regard to stock returns, shortage claims not credited via phone calls and email.
  • Assisting finance team with any stock related credit queries
  • Sending of credit notes and documentation upon request to finance team,  sales team, management & Auditors
  • Reviews  Return orders for accuracy and completion
  • Filing of documents (Credit notes and supporting documents)
  • Capturing of return order for all upliftment request prior to transporter collecting goods (Created return is only to be invoiced once stock is received back at the warehouse)
  • Be flexible to assist with any other reasonable business duties assigned.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • PC Literate, proficiency in all MS Office Packages, including MS Outlook with advanced MS Excel
  • One year related experience within a business working environment.
  • Solid, hands-on experience in maintaining turnaround times and efficiency
  • Solid experience and knowledge in office procedures and protocol with the ability to enforce, maintain and manage work effectively on a daily basis
  • Good administrative skills
  • Excellent time management such as planning and organising skills
  • Ability to work without constant supervision

Package & Remuneration

R8000 per month, Gross salary
