Role Summary

Sanlam Business Intelligence (SBI) is a centre of excellence that delivers data and analytical services within the Sanlam Life and Savings (SLS) cluster. SLS provides clients across different market segments (entry-level, middle-income, affluent, professional market and business owners) with a comprehensive range of appropriate and competitive financial solutions.

These include traditional life insurance risk and savings products, investment, retirement, health and fiduciary services. Designed to facilitate long-term wealth creation, protection and niche financing, these solutions are engineered around client needs.
We are looking for a Data Visualisation Specialist to design and develop data visualisations that help us extract key insights from our data, which might otherwise go unnoticed.
As an SBI Data Visualisation Specialist, you would be responsible for creating compelling, clear and powerful visualisations of our data. We want our data to tell a clear story, highlight insights we hadn’t previously seen, and do it all faster than we’ve been able to previously. We want someone to work on this full-time, lead our efforts, and improve everyone’s work by example and by improving the tools we use to do so.
You’ll be required to figure out what’s important to the business, to specific partners. With an understanding of the core business needs in hand, you’ll use your programming, SQL and data visualisation skills to develop solutions that will help move the business forward and enable better decisions to be made in less time.
