My client in the telecommunications industry based in Midrand are urgently looking for a Cyber Security ? Senior Specialist Demand and Delivery to provide leadership and strategic direction to cyber security driven programs within the South Africa operations.

The Demand and Delivery Senior Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all project Business Cases where the Business Cases will be presented to the Head of Cyber Security for investment approval. You will be responsible for supporting PM’s with all submissions into the Fit4Growth board where required, as well as working closely with Supply Chain Management to drive efficiencies through vendor negotiations. You will also play a pivotal role in the departments long range planning activities, developing Technology Security’s 3 to 5 year strategy, as a well as helping to set the departmental objectives / KPIs which the delivery programme will help achieve. You will need to work collaboratively with Senior Stakeholders within group, building relationships to ensure the successful delivery of the Security portfolio for SA and Group.

In order to be considered the following is required:

3 year degree or Diploma in relevant work related area
Experience in the technology, security or telecommunications industry
Minimum of 5 – 10 years of work experience in information security / cybersecurity and Cloud Security (1 year)
Deep knowledge and understanding technical security controls
In-depth knowledge of and experience in security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, risk management, incident management and threat management
Excellent communication, both written and verbal
Strong analytical skills, combined with business judgment and ability to communicate with all levels of management
The ability to be an effective team player
Strategy and planning skills
Strong business and financial acumen
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Experience of project initiation, planning and governance
Ability to lead teams across multi-functional boundaries
Decision making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests

Responsibilities:

Build, lead and support the cross-functional team by developing a strong project vision of successes and nurturing strong relationships and trust within the team – lead from the front, always confident and supportive
Direct and motivate the cross-functional project team by creating a clear, shared sense of purpose and keeping them informed of all project plans and issues
Help the team identify and manage all stakeholders appropriately
Assist the team with the core skills required to deliver projects effectively including project planning, risk management, change management, financial governance, stakeholder and supplier management
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Senior Stakeholders
Oversee dashboard reporting and status updates in relation to Demand Delivery milestones and agreed KPIs
Identify and raise Risks & Issues to the Programme / Portfolio / Projects as appropriate
Contribute to the analysis and tracking of progress against all security control deliveries
Supervise development, maintenance and assurance of a Long Range Plan / Pipeline of viable projects based on robust cost / benefit analysis
Understand and manage the impact of de-scoped / deferred project deliverables and factor into the Technology Security Strategy or Corporate Risk Register
Be active member of Technology Security Leadership team, responsible for delivery strategic technology security objectives
