A long-established firm in Mount Edgecombe has a vacancy for an experienced Bookkeeper for a portfolio of diverse clients.

Duties will include:

Ad-hoc administrative tasks.

Bookkeeping from prime entry to financial statement level.

Client queries and enquiries.

Correspondence.

Credit control, monthly reconciliations and collection of debts.

Maintain a diary for recurring matters.

Maintain a Property Plant and Equipment Register.

Maintain a system for filing and retention of records.

Payroll.

Preparation of monthly management accounts.

Prepare EMP201/501 returns with supporting documents.

Prepare journal entries.

Prepare UI19 / COIDA returns.

Prepare VAT201 returns with supporting documents.

Prepare working papers and schedules for external auditor.

Process Customer invoicing, statements and credit control – local and foreign.

Process Supplier invoices, statements and credit control – local and foreign.

Reconciliation of Customers, Suppliers and Inventory control accounts.

Qualifications

Accounting Diploma or Degree or in final year

Software experience

Caseware software –

MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook

Sage Partner Accounting

Sage One – Cloud

Sage Payroll

SARS E-Filing

Xero

Working Experience (Must have recent experience as below)

At least 3 years’ recent experience in a SAICA/SAIPA firm.

CIPC – company registrations, amendments, annual returns.

Dept Labour registrations – UIF, COIDA.

Experience in Trusts, Body Corporates and services-companies will be advantageous.

SARS registrations – Tax, VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL

SARS queries and reviews.

Remuneration

Negotiable depending on previous experience.

Part of the salary will be based on performance.
