Debtors Clerk with Grade 12

Job Description

Nulandis is looking to recruit a Debtors Clerk to work in Chloorkop. To ensure accuracy, compliance and completeness of all credit applications. Effective credit granting. Adherence to turn around time for credit vetting. Opening of new accounts. Reduction of bad debts.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To maintain credit limits by reviewing on receipt of request for credit limit increases. • Process credit limit review on .NET for authorisation. • To receive credit applications for opening of new accounts accurately in Syspro. • To receive and process requests for opening of new Co-Op sub accounts on Syspro. • To receive and process requests for opening of new COD accounts in Syspro. • Ensure that credit limits are reviewed annually. • To perform debt collection responsibilities. • To attend to client and agent queries. • To prioritise tasks in order of priority. • Regular communication with Management regarding debtor concerns. • Assist with printing of debtor invoices and statements. • Assist with reconciliation of debtor invoices to statements. • Assist with the mailing of accounts. • Process standard month end transactions and reconciliations relating to debtors accounts. • Assist with the management of and adherence to the overall internal control structures implemented by the company. • Participation in the external yearend audit and internal audits in the manner prescribed on a timely basis. • Act as back up for other Debtors Clerks and Credit Controllers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12. • Tertiary qualification of a diploma relating to Credit Management or NQF equivalent. • Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in a financial environment as a Debtors clerk. • Computer literate with MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook). • Must possess a sound working knowledge of Syspro. • Familiar with all applicable laws relating to the provision of credit, access to information and competition law. • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
