Description

Requirements

  • A Matric certificate
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience doing field work within the social and

community development context

  • Computer Literacy (Microsoft Office Applications)
  • A valid driver’s license (Code B).
  • The successful incumbent must be able to read and write at an

acceptable level of proficiency

  • Ability to do an extensive amount of walking whilst on duty and

would be required to work in extreme weather conditions

  • Note: The successful incumbent will be required to work outside of

normal working hours and at various geographic locations

throughout the City

Key Performance Areas

  • To facilitate and assist with the implementation of SDECD

programmes and interventions aimed at providing care, support,

protection and development of vulnerable individuals, groups,

families and communities with particular focus on strengthening

individuals and families

  • To implement programmes and interventions aimed at the social

development and support of individuals and families

  • To assist with the collation of information and data relating to

individuals and families

  • To report on interactions, programmes and initiatives
  • To develop and maintain working relationships with all relevant

interested and affected parties at local level

  • To undertake the administrative and related functions which

supports the approved programmes and interventions
